Take me out to the Ballgame...

 

Well the Astros lost, but B's first MLB game was amazing anyway. He cheered and clapped a lot (just not for the right team).  Here's hoping he follows in his Daddy & G'Pa's footsteps and is an awesome ball player.

Little Golfer

So we take Mark's clubs in to be re-gripped and the golf store, and low and behold our child doesn't want to leave. Brendan threw his typical terrible two temper tantrum if we tried to take away a golf club. He just wanted to play on the putting green. We finally gave in and bought him his first set of little clubs to keep him. Needless to say, we have been spending a lot of time outside golfing now.

But hey, it's never too early to start, they say Tiger was playing before he was two also.

I love the rodeo and so excited to experience everything through Brendan's eyes. Before B we would rush in just before the performance, drink some beers, watch the show and have a great date night.  Now, we get there when gates are open, and go to the livestock show, carnival, and eat tons of food (no beer), and are back in the care before dark.  Boy how things have changed, but like I said, so fun to see how Brendan sees things.

Family Day @ Rodeo was a blast. B hugged animals, waved hi to all, rode on rides, played on a tractor, learned a bit about farming/ranching and had an AMAZING day.

Chatting with B...

B has always been chatty as we all know, but understanding him is another thing. However; slowly we are being able to make out what he says.  Sometimes it is clear as a bell like the few little moments from B past few days.

On the phone with G'Pa...

G'Pa: Well then Bye, I'll talk to you guys later.
Brendan: Bye Bye (with a bye bye wave of the hand)
                Luv-U (proceeded by B hitting End on the phone)

Yes, folks B had an unprompted I love you to Grandpa over the phone.  I teared up of course, it was a great first for Mommy & Daddy to hear.

After B started pulling at his diaper...

Mommy: Brendan did you go peepee in your diaper
B: No
Mommy:  Did you go poopoo in your diaper
B: No
Mommy:  B come here I think you went poopoo
B: No
Mommy:  I smell poopoo. You definitely just went.
B: Yup, I def-nuty jus dee (he starts up stairs to go get diaper)
Mommy: You did??
B: Yup (puts out hand for me to follow him upstairs)

Say what....  He is talking like a big boy.  And he did have dirty diaper.
