Silly-Sweet-Moving Moments

So, I'm trying something different on the blog this year... I'm going to chronicle our entire family by the moments that happen to us. The little things that years from now we will never remember, but wish we could.  The moments that make you smile, cry, laugh or change how you view the world.


Here are just a few moments and one noteworthy new thing as we are almost at the end of Jan 2013.

~  Trying to put Brendan to bed, and he walks out of room to get Mark and places my hand in Daddy's and then puts arms up for us to pick him up for our group hug.  It was such a sweet moment; he reminded us that even when he is being grumpy (and man was he grumpy that night), don't skip one of the last steps in his bedtime routine.  Especially ending the day by hugging Mommy & Daddy.

~  B & Mark playing air guitar on his Little Tykes golf clubs.  They thought they were Rock Gods!

~  Me crying entire car ride home after we dropped of B at his first day of preschool, and he didn't look back like he needed me.  But when I picked him up, he couldn't get in my arms fast enough.  Even when he tries so hard to be a big boy; he is just a Momma's Boy (and I wouldn't have it any other way).

~ B climbing into his Nana's car, so she wouldn't leave.  He just sat in drivers seat giggling.

~ Teacher conference on day 3 of school to discuss B's transition into going to everything, and the director says... "Well, this is normally where we discuss all the hard things about the first few days, but Mr & Mrs Mehrens, Brendan's transition into coming to school... well for lack of a better term, doesn't exist.  He is one of the easiest little boys we have ever had at this age group. He's a pro at this like he's been coming forever..."

~ B telling the annoying yappy dogs next door ... "ush ush.. puppees"  Of course, they just barked louder.

~ Mark is changing jobs in the next few weeks.  He has really wanted to have a smaller territory that freed him up from traveling so much so we can spend more time together since B came along.  But... he wasn't even looking when an amazing opportunity came along... More on that to come soon.

That's all I have for now... Oh wait did I mention, we have an 18 month old...  How fast did time fly there folks...
